With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Di, who peacefully journeyed beyond this world on August 15, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on February 3, 1939, Di’s legacy is one of resilience, love, and unwavering strength.

In honor of Di’s memory and her 20+ year battle against Frontotemporal Dementia, we unite in wearing the color purple – a symbol of courage and solidarity. Her valiant fight serves as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Di’s spirit will forever be intertwined with her contributions to causes close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and The Purple Sherpa. These organizations mirror Di’s dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Services to celebrate Di’s life will be held at St. Faustina Church (formerly St. Jane) on August 19, 2023. The viewing will take place from 9:30AM to 10:30AM, followed by a Catholic Mass. The church is located at 5252 S. Austin Ave, Chicago, IL 60638.

After the service, Di’s journey will continue with internment at Resurrection Cemetery (7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458). A luncheon to honor her memory will follow at Janosik Banquets (9126 S. Roberts Rd., Hickory Hills, IL).

Di’s legacy is one of resilience and love, and her impact on those around her is immeasurable. In this time of remembrance, let us find solace in the memories we shared and the lessons she taught us. If you wish to offer additional condolences or seek further information, kindly reach out to Kim at 630-205-1305.

As we say our final goodbyes, may Di’s spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.

Though her journey on earth has ended, her legacy of strength and love will endure forever.
