On September 8, 2026 Whitley’s Boxing and Fitness out of Holyoke, Massachusetts and bare-bones Boxing out of East Hartford Connecticut came together for a night of fitness and sparring with the youth in the community.
It was a night of excitement, new friendships, and bringing the youth together for a great experience. The event was led by WBC cares Ambassador Omar “Ohmz” Anderson and Clayton Corto (Owner/Head Coach of Bare-Bones Boxing). “I want to bring kids together from different communities to train/get in the ring with a complete stranger and “throw hands” and still be able to show love and respect to your opponent and their coach.
Only a boxer can tell you that you can go from punching each other in the face to best of friends and ride home in the same car lol” says Anderson. Shouts out to all the coaches Clay,Mike,Brent,Pete and Jean working with/warming up the kids.
As we continue to spread the message here at the WBC cares program to different communities just remember all it takes is one smile, one conversation, one minute of your time to potentially change someone’s life.
Be good,Be kind and hands up!
