Unlike the famed Madison Square Garden, Patterson Square Garden doesn’t boast popcorn vendors or plush floor seats. Instead, it’s a vibrant community of individuals with a shared passion for boxing, united by the electrifying atmosphere of an arena that knows no bounds.

This past Thursday, our WBC Peace Ambassador and former champion, Lt. Colonel Boyd “Rainmaker” Melson, alongside Hall of Famer Referee Sparkle Lee, transformed their dream into reality within the very courtyard that had witnessed the unveiling of a remarkable mural dedicated to Iran Barkley just last month.

Their students came from all walks of life, spanning the ages from 6 to 78, with some arriving aided by walkers but leaving the courtyard with boxing gloves on, ready to embrace the thrill of the ring.

We’re thrilled to announce that this is just the beginning. Soon, more of our dedicated WBC Cares ambassadors will step into the ring, generously offering their time and talent to a community that hungers not only for boxing but also for the bonds of friendship.

If you’re as passionate about boxing and community as we are, stay tuned for updates on our upcoming events.

Join us as we continue to champion the spirit of unity, determination, and sportsmanship. Together, we can make dreams come true.
