“I had never won and today I am very happy… look friend, we won” with that joy is how the group of children celebrated the victory in the contest that the WBC Cares organized with the Girls and Boys Club, as part of the activities in the course Of summer.
For three weeks, the children of the Olmeca group (6-9 years old) designed the shorts with which they won the competition, which caught their attention because it had the Club’s shield. The winning Teotihuacanos team (10-11 years old) was also awarded. Both winning shorts will be designed by CVT Boxing and donated to the club.
The other contest that was organized was to recreate the version of the world champion belt awarded by the WBC; also in the 6-9 years and 10-11 years categories.
The presence was attended by Lic. Christiane Manzur, president of WBC Cares Mexico; Alejandra Palomino, Director of the Girls and Boys Club; in addition to boxer Estrella Valverde, WBC international champion.
The importance of this contest was to encourage teamwork, in addition to letting their imagination fly, Ms. Manzur highlighted, “for WBC Cares it is very important that girls and boys work together, that they are allies and also that they Get creative, this will undoubtedly help you in your future life; The nice thing was also seeing their happy faces when they knew they were winners.”
In the summer course, there have also been fitness boxing classes taught with teacher Rosy Olvera.
