Annual Awards Ceremony for excellent boxers was held on 19th, February at Tokyo Dome Hotel.
On February 19th, the Tokyo Dome Hotel was abuzz with excitement as the Annual Awards Ceremony honored outstanding boxers from around the world.
Naiya Inoue, the WBC World Champion, stole the spotlight once again, clinching the Most Valuable Player Award for the 6th consecutive year and 7th time overall. Not stopping there, Inoue also claimed the Best KO Award, showcasing her unparalleled skill and determination.
Joining Inoue in the winner’s circle were Kenshiro Teraji, who received both the Skill Award and Excellent Player Award, and Yudai Shigeoka, recognized with the Excellent Player Award.
The event was made even more special with a heartfelt message from Mauricio Sulaiman, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship and dedication in the world of boxing. The honor of presenting the award to Naiya Inoue was bestowed upon Col. Thanapol Bhakdibhumi, representing the exemplary boxers.
In addition to celebrating athletic achievements, WBC Cares took the opportunity to support those affected by the recent Noto earthquake. A fundraising booth was set up to collect donations, with the proceeds handed over to Mr. Kashimi, owner of the Kashimi Boxing Gym in Ishikawa prefecture, by WBC Youth Care ambassador Nabhiraks (Jade) Bhakdibhumi and WBC Cares Japan Chapter representative Chisa Yamane.
The ceremony was a testament to the spirit of excellence and compassion that defines the boxing community, reminding us all of the power of sports to unite and uplift.
