We are excited to announce that RAMONA BUCIUMEANU has joined us as the new WBC Cares ambassador in Romania. RAMONA is a shining example of how boxing can be a source of strength and confidence, and we are proud of her commitment to helping others.

Born in 1992 in a small town in Romania, RAMONA has faced many challenges throughout her life. She was diagnosed with autism just a few years ago, but from an early age she experienced bullying due to her condition, in addition to facing sexism and criticism for her appearance. These difficulties, far from defeating her, made her stronger and led her to discover boxing as a means to manage her emotions and find confidence.

RAMONA began boxing two years ago, after having practiced mixed martial arts and teaching self-defense and body combat to women.

“In a short time, boxing became my refuge, helping me manage crises and develop both physical and mental strength. The repetitive movements and routines of boxing provided me with a sense of control that I needed in my life, always inspired by legends like Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali.”

Today, as a coach, RAMONA is dedicated to using her experience to support others, especially those with autism and children facing bullying. His story is a testament to resilience and how boxing can transform lives. We are excited to see her bring her passion and commitment to her community and beyond, inspiring others through her example.

Welcome, RAMONA, and thank you for sharing your strength with the world. We are sure you will make a difference!
