Saturday night at Gleasons hundreds of people gathered for the Champion Art Exhibit, with a percentage of the profits to the Jose Sulaiman Boxers Fund.
This is was the idea of Bailey Lalonde and former WBC Champion, Donny Lalonde, a new way to help boxers using original works of art based on them and their legacy.
In attendance were Vinny Paz, Heather Hardy, Michael Spinks, Doug DeWitt, Junior Jones, Donny Lalonde and Irán Barkley. And so many wonderful artists and musicians who contributed their time and talent for a robust and outstanding event.
Curated by Anthony Hayden-Guest and Bailey Lalonde the intention is to sell the art on line and continue working with Nevada Community Foundation to help both the boxers and artists involved.
The WBC thanks Bruce Silverglade for trusting his wonderful gym to the effort and everyone involved in making this an event to remember. Kudos to multimedia artist , Shraddha Borawake for the delicious Indian treats she made and so many others who put time and effort into a festive evening.
