Just two days before his anticipated ring return, Mexican champion Jaime Munguia, WBC Silver super middleweight titleholder, made a heartfelt visit to more than 50 young boxers at Old School Boxing Gym in Phoenix, Arizona.
A gesture of generosity towards young boxers
During his visit, Munguia handed out Top Rank merchandise, signed autographs, took photos, and shared inspiring stories from his successful boxing career. This gesture reflects not only his gratitude towards the sport but also his commitment to the community and the next generation of boxers.
Ready for his next fight in Glendale
Munguia, who holds an impressive record of 43-1 with 34 knockouts, will face undefeated contender Erik Bazinyan (32-0-1, 23 KOs) this Friday in the 12-round main event at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This fight marks his return to the Phoenix area after knocking out British veteran John Ryder in January at the Footprint Center. Although he lost by decision to fellow countryman Canelo Alvarez in May in his bid for the undisputed title, Munguia remains one of boxing’s brightest stars.
