Inspiration and Commitment from South Dallas
Last month, at WBC Cares, we had the opportunity to visit with Adan Gonzalez and his inspiring Puede Network program in South Dallas. Adan and his siblings were raised by hardworking parents who taught them values, responsibility, and the importance of big dreams.
With determination and perseverance, Adan left for Georgetown on a full scholarship, carrying all his belongings in a black garbage bag. He went on to earn Master’s Degrees from Columbia and Harvard, then returned to serve the very community that shaped him, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to its people.
When you visit Dallas, we would be honored to take you there and show you the incredible work being accomplished. In 2015, Mauricio presented his father with a WBC belt for his work with children, and in 2020, a Heroes for Humanity plaque to Adan. Both are proudly displayed.
