Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame: A Celebration of Boxing and Community
The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) is truly the cherry on top of all the boxing halls of fame. For three unforgettable days, it became a love fest filled with artistic touches, history, and passion for the sport we all cherish.
Moreover, the event gathered brilliant community members and legendary heroes. Icons like Roberto Durán, Michael Spinks, Vinny Paz, Shannon Briggs, Steve Collins, DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley, Jolene Mizzone, Kathy Duva, Vito Antuofermo, Junior Jones, Joe Cortez, Larry Hazard, Iran Barkley, Carlos Zárate, and many more came to honor boxing history.
In addition, the artistry of Patrick Killian (@killian_art) elevated the occasion. His portraits of each winner, painted with elegance and precision, captured the essence of their greatness. These works of art became another highlight, making the celebration both emotional and timeless.
Also present were Cesar and the enthusiastic teens from No Limit Academy. They had the honor of sharing the historic Jack Johnson Belt, brought as a surprise by Aaron Snowell. Their excitement reminded everyone of the new generation that will carry boxing’s legacy forward.
At the awards ceremony, Ray McCline, President of ACBHOF, presented the trailer of @Jesszillathefilm. Furthermore, he gave Jill Diamond, representing the WBC, the privilege of presenting Pedro Silva, Jesselyn Silva’s father, a WBC Gold Amateur Belt in her honor.
September is dedicated to gold ribbons, which symbolize Childhood Brain Cancer awareness. Jesselyn Silva, an inspiring amateur champion, tragically passed away at just 18 years old from this disease. Her memory continues to inspire, uniting the boxing world with love and resilience.
This ceremony was more than an event; it was an emotional and unforgettable tribute. Through stories, art, and heartfelt moments, the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame celebrated not only the past but also the future of boxing and its community.
