This year’s NJ PAL event went off without a hitch.
The two people responsible for this were Ms. Gail Jasper, who was pretty much the glue that kept the bouts together and was very communicative from the start regarding their needs — an absolute pleasure to work with.
Also, Lieutenant Will Santiago from ACP addressed every detail regarding the security and access issues we experienced previously. He and I met at the top of the day; he presented a plan, and it was executed perfectly. ACPD’s presence was very visible and consistent — all backstage, FOH, and dressing room operations went on without a hitch as a direct result.
Thanks to Larry Goldberg, ACPD, PAL, USA Amateur Boxing, and WBC Cares for what was a great day for the local boxing community.
Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to do it again next year.
