Championing Mental Health: A Night of Boxing with Purpose
On Thursday, May 22, the historic Avalon Hollywood will host Championing Mental Health: A Night of Boxing, a charity event that combines the power of sport with a vital cause.
Presented by 555 Media and Bash Boxing and streamed live on DAZN, the event aims to highlight mental health awareness in the world of boxing. Rising stars like Jonny “Magic” Mansour, Ricardo Ruvalcaba, Jessie Mandapat, and Vic Pasillas will step into the ring.
In partnership with Athletes for Hope and the World Boxing Council (WBC), every boxer on the card will receive one year of free therapy—an unprecedented step toward emotional wellness in the sport.
“My vision was to create a platform that brings together real resources and powerful voices,” said Anthony Girges, founder of 555 Media. “Boxers are human too, and they deserve support.”
WBC mental health ambassador Mia St. John will be in attendance, with special activations by the WBC. Jill Diamond, Global Chair of WBC Cares, reminds us that since 2014, the organization has championed mental health initiatives worldwide.
For Athletes for Hope, mental health is a priority. As CEO Jason Belinkie said, “Taking care of our mental health helps us build resilience and lead balanced lives.”
Tickets are available now at www.555media.com/tickets, and the event will air live on DAZN to bring this vital message to a global audience.
