A Day of Solidarity and Hope

In a remarkable display of community solidarity and compassion, HEAL Palestine‘s recent event, “Heal on the Farm,” was a resounding success. This event brought together people from all walks of life for an unforgettable day of fundraising and entertainment. Approximately 400 attendees gathered at Arab Chicago Farm to participate in various activities aimed at uniting the community, celebrating the guests of honor, and raising funds for urgent medical aid for Palestinian children affected by the ongoing crisis.

A Cultural Celebration in a Supportive Setting

The event was made possible thanks to the generous support of local businesses and organizations. The farm’s picturesque surroundings allowed guests to enjoy captivating cultural performances that highlighted the richness of Palestinian heritage. The day kicked off with an energetic Dabke performance, filling the air with music and dancing. Later, talented singers and poets kept the vibrant spirit of the event alive with their performances.

Special Guests: The Heart of the Event

Among the notable attendees were Steve Sosebee, founder of HEAL Palestine, and three children from Gaza currently receiving medical treatment in Chicago: Layan, Khalil, and Baraa. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the true purpose of the event. Baraa, in particular, touched the hearts of everyone as he continues his recovery following surgery to remove metals from his arm. The community gathered in full support of his healing journey.

Tangible Impact and Heartfelt Results

The “Heal on the Farm” event raised nearly $30,000, which will directly support HEAL Palestine‘s ongoing efforts to provide medical care, education, and food for Palestinian children affected by the conflict. “Seeing so many people come together for such an important cause was truly heartwarming,” said a representative from HEAL Palestine. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this event possible—from the volunteers and sponsors to, of course, our honored guests. Your contributions are making a direct impact on the lives of children in Palestine, and we can’t thank you enough.”

HEAL Palestine and WBC Cares: A Commitment to Humanitarian Aid

HEAL Palestine is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical aid and resources to children affected by the conflict in Palestine. The Chicago branch of HEAL Palestine is led by Manal Morrar, Co-Chair of WBC Cares Middle East, with support from Co-Chair Kimberly Spies, who both work tirelessly to ensure this vital mission continues.

This event was yet another inspiring example of how a community united by a cause can make a lasting, meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
